It is not designed to be a sole source of nutrition, but rather serve as a nutritional supplement to the diet.
How often should my child drink Else? What is the recommended daily amount?
Else Kids’ Nutritional Supplement Drink may be used as desired daily, occasionally and in any combination with other food products, as a part of the kids diet.
Can this be used for weight gain?
Else Nutrition Kids’ Nutritional Supplement Drink contains 210 kcal/serving and is designed to support child’s nutrition needs. Weight gain is a result of consuming more calories than you burn.
Does it contain any artificial growth hormones?
Else Nutrition Kids’ Nutritional Supplement Drink does not include any growth hormones.
Why doesn’t it contain DHA?
We add the essential alpha-linolenic acid (ALA 18:3 ω-3) as a source for DHA (which is synthesized by the body from the essential precursor ALA), taking into account there are no official recommended guidelines for intake for DHA for that age group.
How long can the product be left out after mixing? Can I prepare beforehand or store leftovers in the fridge?
It can be left out 1 hour after mixing and may be stored in the fridge for up to 24 hours.
Can the product be heated up?
Yes, it can be heated so that it is warm but should not be made so hot as to burn the mouth. Be sure to check the temperature of the product before offering it to your child.
What's the difference between Else Toddler and Else Kids Products?
Else Toddler and Kids are complete nutritional supplements tailored for different age groups, Else Toddler is designed for 12+ months, and the Kids product is designed for 2 years+ and they are both designed to supplement the nutritional needs of those different age groups. Else Kids also offers two different flavors (Vanilla and Chocolate).
Why has Else developed their products with low sugar?
Evidence has shown that early introduction of sweet foods in young children can result in their preference for overly sweet foods as they grow older, and their rejection of bitter and sour foods such as fresh fruit and vegetables1,2. This high sugar, and lack of healthier food diversity, has been shown to lead to higher rates of weight-related conditions and cardiometabolic syndrome later.
This programming of flavor preferences is a complex developmental process that begins to persist between ages 2-4 years and has been shown to be less modifiable after age of 71,2. Therefore, it is critical to ensure that toddlers, and young children, do not consume overly sweet foods at an early age, and are exposed to a variety of foods and flavors (bitter, sour etc.).
Based on this important science, we've developed our products to have a great taste that children will enjoy but with low sugar (6% of DV per serving).

Is it the same product as Else Kids being sold in the US?
Both products are complete nutritional supplements scientifically designed to complete nutritional needs and support growth of kids above 2 years old, made from the same three core plant-based ingredients: almonds, buckwheat, and tapioca.
However, the recipes are not identical and have been designed to comply with mandatory nutritional requirements in each country, e.g. protein levels per serving, micronutrient levels.
